: I UNDERSTAND IF YOU LOWER YOUR BOILER PRESS FROM 100 TO 70 THE BOILER
: WILL DE-RATE AND CIRCULATION WILL BE EFFECTED. WHAT IS DE-RATE AND HOW CAN I
: CALCULATE IT ALSO HOW CAN YOU DETERMINE THE EFFECT ON CIRCULATION
: IN THE BOILER? THANKS

If you are operating a firetube boiler in all probability circulation will not be an issue. With reduction of pressure you may need to review steam nozzle size to avoid "de-rate". Most manufacturers size steam nozzle for a range of acceptable pressures that are within good engineering practice for velocity.
