Grundfos feedpumps are pretty common, and I see them in a number of smaller plants running at pressures similar to yours. None of the installations I see have water hammer arrestors, nor do they have hammer problems in the feed piping.

Do you have (or can you install) a pressure gauge and thermometer in the feedline between the check valve at the pump, and the one at the boiler to get some data about what's happening?
