I have a condition where the lime going into the mixing bowl is thickening on the surface of the water. We have sludge that is being returned to the bowl, along with the new lime that is being introduced. There is a decanter arm that lies at the surface of the mixing bowl that is plugging regularly. I've been here for a while and I have never seen this condition before, but I cannot for the life of figure out what's changed to cause this. The lime clumps and lays in little islands on the surface of the water. Any thoughts....do you need more details?
