We must have a misunderstanding. We are using Honeywell 7800 controllers for our boilers. Everything is automatic, but if I approach either boiler that is in a low-water condition, and I cannot find a water level, then I would act as I had written. Do you feel it would be a better practice to purge before executing a complete shut-down (fuel, gas, main steam stop vlv., & feedwater)? Also what exactly is Hydronic.net. I know it is a website, but there are many different areas to it.
Thanks for your reply.
Mike
