Maximum copper levels in low pressure steam boilers

Where can I find the maximum level for copper in boiler water? I have the ASME recommended limits for fire tube boilers dated 1994, but it only covers copper in the feed water(<0.05mg/l) Our boiler is running consistently .5ppm and higher in the boiler water, while remaining below the ASME guide line in the feed water. What is going on?
