why a plug is fitted before pressure gauge on natural gas line so that when we have to see the pressure we push th plug by our thumb then the natural gas will enter the bourden tube and the gauge needle will show pressure on dial.is it for the protection of the gauge? or due to some other reason, while there is no such plug fitted with pressure gauges on oil lines , water lines or steam lines .
thanks....
