: We had a Zurn HRSG That had stress cracking in the economizer drains from improper installation of the drains. The unit was top hung and it grew downward, but the drains were rigidly mounted and would constantly bend and flex. Eventually this led to cracking and leaks.
Another was erosion/corrosion in U-bends, the tubes were wearing from the inside out. We replaced quite a few U-bends and are NDTing the tubes every outage now to keep an eye on it.
