My company is interested in buying a 15TPH, 3 pass, wet-back, smoke tube boiler.
One of the decisions we need to make is whether the furnace should be of corrugated design, or should have bowling hoops. Is there an advantage of one kind over another? I am told a furnace with bowling hoops is easier to repair, as for the greater portion of its length it consists of straight rolled plate. Could you please advise on this matter?
