: im having high silica content in my raw water (20 ppm)& in boiler water reading is about 300ppm.Is there any way i can reduce silica content in boiler water to prevent silica scales?what is the permittable amount of silica content in boiler water?

The silica limits we run our boilers at are:
boilers operating at 14 barg pressure < 30 ppm.
Boilers operating at 70 barg pressure < 6 ppm
they all have turbines running downstream.
Apart from that I backup the views of Vern and Joe
