I'm having trouble balancing the heat in my 2 story house. It's hot upstairs and cold downstairs. I've been playing around with the adjustable vents that are on there now. They're made by Hoffman Specialties. I think most of the vents are shot and am going to replace all of them (11). I was planning on getting a new set Hoffmans but I've been told that I should go with Maid O Mist non adjustable vents and just put the fastest ones in the coldest rooms, etc. Can anyone give me an opinion on which type of vents I should use? Adjustable vs. Non? Manufacturers, etc. Thanks in advance.
