Unless you've got a vacuum DA, you'll need to run something over 100*C to drive off the dissolved oxygen. Something like 105*C would likely do it. I have also seen pitting occur in DAs where the condensate returns to the storage section, instead of to a point where it gets scrubbed. A failed heat exchanger bundle was dumping raw water into the DA, that wasn't getting the oxygen removed.

If you you're heating un-deaerated water in a carbon steel tank (like your feedwater tank), and/or using carbon steel coils, the oxygen corrosion will just go nuts. It'll pit the carbon steel to death. I've seen installations like this fail in as little as 18 months.
