: Anybody experienced refractory or/and shell intergrity problems on the WIcks boiler.
: Thanks a lot for your responses.

I monitor vibration on equipment around the area, mostly rotating equipment .However i have on several ocasions monitored wall vibration on Wicks Boilers . I sure I have not seen them all , however the ones I have been around were prefabed and brought in on flat rail cars . I would just about soon used the next car on the train,a box car and built a boiler out of it. My experience with the wick boiler was above noraml side wall vibration and very frequent refractory repairs . This boiler seemed to long for the amount of side wall braces. Now I'm no expert on boilers , but just check with touch and sound the side wall vibration
I really don't know how they stay together as well as they do
thanks
