: how we can decrease boiler drum alkalinity. why it is necessary to keep a certain level of alkalinty maitain in drum water. if alkalinity increases its limits what harm it can do to boiler. further , what chemicals are used to increase alkalinity levels in boiler drum? thanx.
too much or not enough can cause problems.......on one end you get corrosion.....on the other end you get scale formation....both cause you to lose efficiencey and shorten the life of your boiler. A ballanced chemical treatment program will help you out....if you want more info please e-mail me
Thanks
