: in a 350 psi water tube boiler of capacity 5 tons steam generation recieving about 50 percent condensate & using 50 percent zeolite treated soft water.when the boiler water side is inspected after one year how much scale can be expected? or boler should show not even a trace of scale? can such an ideal situation exist with the above considered conditions or it is practically impossible.

What you describe is an ideal situation. The more condensate you can reuse the better off you are.
The condensate has already been pretreated to remove the hardness minerals, probably it has already
been chemically treated, and it is already pretty hot, saving some fuel. When you open the boiler,
the internals should be pretty clean. There may be some sludge in the bottom from softener upsets and trace
leakage, but for the most part it should be really clean.
