We plan to install a 15 psig boiler in our fuel treatment compartment to provide steam for reforming
natural gas. The mixture of steam and natural gas is then heated to over 800 deg. F in a heat exchanger
before being sent for prereforming.
The boiler and the reformer are part of a modular fuel treatment skid and is part of an unattended power plant.
My question is - Will the boiler codes permit a 15 psig or less boiler in a fuel treatment compartment as
part of unattended facility or will the power plant need to be an attended facility due to the boiler placed in
the fuel treatment compartments. What do the building codes in the US specify?
