: We have water and steam both coming out of the vent on the preheater on the DA tank? any help?

If the water is coming out of the oxygen vent on the tray section, could have a serious problem. The water can blind the vent and prevent adequate oxygen removal. Find out what it is and fix it post haste. I've had to replace an economizer and a Dea from a result of this symptom.

It could be for a broken vent pipe as mentioned on earlier posting. But, I've experience this on an undersized Dea. The Dea was not sized to handle 100% cold make up water. The rush of steam during 100% make up caused carry over. The disolved oxygen test never showed the problem. There was a long, large diam. carbon steel sample line to the lab. The carbon consumed some of the d.o. and the scavenger got the rest. Leason learned- small diam. stainless line, and routine do checks without scavenger.
