Tony is right on both the disc trap cover and the thermostatics. However, the new Sarco TD-52 has a design that has an air space manufactured in the cover so you no longer need the little tin top that often gets lost or is blown away.
For thermostatics, they make them pretty hot these days, with only like 10 DEG F of subcooling which generally will not back up into a header. It is a little known fact that even thermodynamic traps are somewhat subcooled. The hottest traps are the F&T's
