: We have three 6 MMBtu CB boilers, water tube. The new standards are based on heating surface area. Cant find the specs to get the conversion. Is there a standard conversion factor?

John, Consider the following:

Method #1:
For the 6MMBtuh value rating ...divide that number by 240 to get an EDR rating of 25,000.
Method #2:
To obtain EDR rating based on boiler horsepower, multiply the BHp by 140...thus the 179.24 BHp boiler will have an EDR of 25,093.60.
Method #3:
To obtain EDR rating based on Pounds of Condensate per hour...multiply pph of condensate by 4...thus the evaporation rate of 34.5 pounds per boiler HP or 6183 pph condensate times 4 equals 24735 EDR.

I cannot explain the differences in the numbers but this will get you close enough I think.
