: Any one can help me in calculating the Fix heat losses in Watertube cross drum B&W
: and Fire tube Package type (Ruston design). Each boiler's Capacity is same like 40000 lbs/h

: And what is the efficiency of these steam boilers individually?

: which boiler is efficient Water Tube Tubelar or fire tube shell type ?

: Thanks

Hussain,
In out boiler efficiency calculations we set the total heat losses, by the casing, to atmosphere at 0.2% of fuel consumption. We do not bother to perform the detailed calculations.
Boiler efficiencies, be it water tube or fire tube, are depending on the amount of heat recovered from the flue gasses with the economiser and/ore air heater.
Difference between the two types of boilers lie more in their operability. Their reply to load differences. Their maximum allowable design pressure.
Raymond
