For some unknown reason someone long ago decided to paint large areas of our plant black, probably in the mistaken idea that it would show dirt less easily. As a result, the place looks like a cave, and any light gets sucked up into oblivion. Makes it damned hard to work. Also, lighter colors seem to show dirt less.

Over time, we've been lightening up the colors as we repaint. The problem is that once a color is used, any chipping of fresh paint shows the underlaying color. It's probably best to pick a color and stay with it.

We do use the gray for bases and yellow for warning lines.
