Field Engineers are responsible for assisting customers at their plant sites with equipment start-ups; solving operational and maintenance problems and helping achieve plant operational objectives. It provides an excellent opportunity for self-motivated, flexible individuals who enjoy challenging and diverse job responsibilities.
LOCATION:
Field Engineers are assigned to a particular region, depending on personal preference and business needs. Positions are located throughout the United States and frequent travel is required. We currently have an opening for our Texas region covering TX, AR, and LA.
The incumbent will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on the operation, maintenance, efficiency, and reliability of fossil fired steam generator equipment and systems.
Activities include:
· Scheduling and managing steam generator equipment commissioning and inspections
· Inspecting equipment for problems, suitability of application, and remaining life
· Analyzing failed equipment
· Writing detailed reports
· Optimizing plant performance
· Training plant personnel
· Testing equipment
Also includes analyzing, planning and conducting evaluations of a variety of technical tasks requiring the application of general engineering knowledge of power plant equipment. In this position, the incumbent will also act as the Company’s representative in resolving and reporting on general technical and logistics problems while maintaining good customer relations and protecting the interest of ALSTOM Power. Will also conduct inspections, commissioning or test programs within estimated resources while ensuring the quality of services will not be impaired.
