SOLID WASTE ENGINEER
The York County Solid Waste Authority (YCSWA) has an opening for a Solid Waste Engineer to provide technical support and review of facilities owned or operated by the YCSWA.
The candidate must have an engineering background, preferably with experience in power plant operations applying a broad knowledge of plant systems, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company/plant procedures. Municipal solid waste management experience is a plus. The candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Office skills (Word/Excel/Outlook), good communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team setting is a must.
The candidate must be adaptable to various work environments and conditions, such as but not limited to: ability to work in “hard hat” areas, enter confined spaces, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and other physically demanding activities.
