Conduct engineering analysis and develop recommendations to maintain and improve generating plant efficiency, reliability, safety, environmental compliance and cost performance - initiate corrective action as needed. Provide technical expertise in support of the operation and maintenance of Combustion Turbine equipment and control systems. Coordinate an effective maintenance ;I&C, PM and PDM program targeted to the reliability of the simple cycle combustion turbine fleet. Evaluate plant equipment performance, engineering practices and procedures and recommend modifications as appropriate. Perform root cause and cost/benefit analysis on equipment deficiencies. Identify resources and act as a sponsor between Generation Projects and station associates in the design and application of new technology. Develop equipment/services bid specifications, evaluate purchase recommendations. Provide technical support and direction to contractors and in-house labor supervisors. Perform engineering studies in all areas of equipment improvement, specifying materials, equipment, calibration and test requirements. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG standards for Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal business controls.
Requirements:
BS in Engineering or equivalent experience. Five years experience in utility or manufacturing plant environment. Experience in plant design, control and operation.
Desirable:
PE license
