Provide strong leadership and supervision in the start-up, shutdown, operation, and maintenance of gas and oil fired boilers, turbines, electric generators and associated equipment at Hudson Generating Station. Ensure safe, profitable, and environmentally compliant plant operation. Coordinate the daily and outage related work required to maintain unit availability. Coordinate the operation of the generating units with ESOC and Trading Floor. Communicate with outside agencies, internal and external customers. Administer Company/Union Agreement. Establish high standards for associates and provide leadership and motivation by training, appraising, coaching, counseling, rewarding and disciplining associates. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Essential: High school graduate with extensive power plant experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Connecticut driver’s license. Must obtain an acceptable score on the First Line Supervisors’ Test unless presently a First Line Supervisor who has continuously supervised maintenance or operating personnel for a minimum of twelve months. Rotating shift work with rotating days off. Desirable: technical certification or training. Must be computer literate including Microsoft Office, SAP and familiarity with Work Clearance Management System.
