: We are currently seeking a Senior Cost Estimating Engineer to assist in the definition and implementation of our exciting solar thermal power generation projects. : Responsibilities: : This is a key role within the engineering and construction group to develop and maintain cost estimating models for the turnkey execution of Ausra's innovative solar thermal projects. The successful applicant will be self-motivated with the ability to gather information from a variety of internal and external sources, organize and present it in a clear and logical format and produce realistic cost estimates for a variety of different configurations and project specific factors. : Duties will include: : -Preparation of cost estimates for thermal power plant projects working from specifications, drawings and bills of material : -Preparation and update of cost data bases for procurement, manufacture and construction activities : -Realistic application of cost indices, escalation rates and new costing data to maintain model validity : -Working with our engineering, construction and development teams to optimize cost and performance : -Gathering cost data based on completed projects and establishing processes for continuous update : -Coordinating closely with the procurement team : Qualifications: : -Experience in the cost estimation of heavy industrial process plant projects including pipework and rotating machinery.
