Boiler Engineer Direct Opportunity in Tampa, FL
What you should know about this opportunity:
1. This is a full time direct position with our client.
2. Will require overtime, irregular hours and travel to clients power faculties.
3. Must have a BS Degree in Engineering from an ABET Accredited Engineering School!!
4. Must be able to obtain a passport.
5. Must successfully complete Baseline Medical Examination and Respirator User Exam.
6. Salary is negotiable between $77,043 - $96,343
The Boiler Engineer will be responsible for:
Performing technical boiler assessments and support planning of future power plant outages, estimations, maintenance of pressurized piping systems, utility boiler component replacement, and utility boiler outages and replacements.
Will be the engineering interface with equipment OEM-s for discussion, consultation, problem solving and best maintenance practices on steam generating equipment.
Developing bid/purchase specifications, participate in bid review and evaluations, and participate in purchase recommendations for all power plant equipment.
The Successful candidate will have the following education/experience:
10 to 15 years of power plant engineering experience in the maintenance & operation of coal-fired boiler/steam generators, steam generating equipment, HRSGs, power plant material handling systems, and auxiliary power plant rotating equipment (i.e. fans, pumps, compressors).
Qualified candidates MUST have experience with ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Codes, National Board Inspection Codes, Boiler R Stamp requirements, familiarity with associated Boiler component design, familiarity with repairs and material specifications for utility boilers and auxiliary equipment and a working knowledge of Non-Destructive Examination methods and welding processes.
Candidate must have the ability to inspect utility boilers, ductwork, fans, pulverizers and other power plant equipment as required.
Must have or have the ability to obtain a passport.
An understanding of the thermal cycle of the power generation facility and how the applications of the steam generating equipment fit into and impact the cycle. Proficiency with CADD.
PE license preferred.
Must be willing to travel to all Client Energy locations without being based at any particular facility.
