: Direct placement opportunity for this Boiler Engineer position in a power plant in South Boston, VA. The responsible for analyzing boiler condition and developing and implementing both short term and long term maintenance strategies for the boiler and related equipment. Salary for this position will be between 80k to 110k. : Engineer I – Entry Level - 0-2 years of experience with engineering degree : Engineer II – Mid level - 3-5 years of experience with engineering degree : Engineer III – High Level - 5+ years of strongly related experience with engineering degree : : Requirements: : : Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : : · Required: 1-3 years of related experience. : · Prior experience with and knowledge of large coal fired utility boilers. : · Strong mechanical and equipment troubleshooting skills. : · Knowledge of boiler maintenance, boiler operation, metals and welding are preferred. : Experience in the fields of Nondestructive Examination (NDE), Condition Based Assessment (CBA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Performance Monitoring are all beneficial. : Education : Preferred: 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree or related discipline. : Related experience preferred. : Will consider candidates with materials engineer or welding engineer background.
