: J. Craig Venter Institute is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant. : : The Maintenance Assistant will perform maintenance, and repairs to a variety of commercial building systems. The Maintenance Assistant will perform routine service and preventative maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, patching walls, painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical circuits, and controls. Responds to requests for repairs of building equipment or institute property. : : Qualifications Include: : : High School diploma or equivalent required : : Requires two years of experience with basic building maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance. : : Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. : : Must be in possession and maintain a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record. : : JCVI offers an excellent working environment and a competitive benefits package.
