We are searching for Operations Technicians & Trainees to support the efficient and cost effect production of electric energy by operating and controlling power plant equipment. : Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts. Reasonable and necessary overtime is required. Must live within reasonable distance of the Four Corners Power Plant. Must have a valid driver’s license. : Testing Information: Qualifying tests will be administered. : Operations Technician : Responsibilities: : Monitor instrumentation to determine plant conditions and performing actions necessary to keep the plant operating within prescribed limits. Duties include: inspection, preventative maintenance and repair incidental to the performance of regular duties. : Qualifications: : • Knowledgeable and experienced in process system operations and process control : • Skilled in control room operations using DCS Control Systems : • Good leadership abilities to motivate subordinates in standards of operations and industry best practices : • Must be able to utilize positive team building skills, innovation and interpersonal skills to achieve objectives while promoting harmony among employees : : Operations Technician Trainee T-1 : Responsibilities: : Operating and monitoring turbines, generators, scrubbers, baghouses and plant auxiliary : equipment. Perform chemical analysis of boiler water, circulating water, operating water : treatment, & chemical addition systems. Perform as a fire brigade responder. Inspections, maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment. Operation of mobile utility equipment such as backhoes and forklifts. Perform arc welding, including layout, setting up, aligning and welding parts and material.
