J. Craig Venter Institute (“JCVI”), a not-for-profit research institute dedicated to the advancement of the science of genomics, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Requires two years of experience with basic building maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Must be in possession and maintain a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Description : The Maintenance Assistant will perform maintenance, and repairs to a variety of commercial building systems. The Maintenance Assistant will perform routine service and preventative maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, patching walls, painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical circuits, and controls. Responds to requests for repairs of building equipment or institute property.
