Our client is a world leading multi-specialist energy services provider, offering energy and environmental solutions to clients globally. Through their research and development they are ensuring that energy is produced more cleanly and efficiently than ever before. Due to significant project wins, they are currently recruiting for a Pipework Engineer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications - HNC mechanical or chemical engineering
Preferred Qualifications - Graduate Mechanical or Chemical Engineer
Experience in Pipework - Pipework Engineering within a process-engineering environment
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will gain responsibility for review of client requirements and subsequent selection of pipe material and fittings, Pipe wall thickness calculations
Pipe stress analysis, Pipe support design and engineering and Material take-off
You will be charged with Issue of technical specifications and requisitions for procurement purposes and will have direct liaison with the client and sub-contractors on piping issues.
You will have Knowledge and understanding of:
*International Pipe Design Codes : ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, BS806 - (obsolete), BS EN 13480 - European Standards
*Knowledge of Pipe Flexibility analysis and efficiency in either Caesar 11, AutoPIPE or PSA5
*Familiarity with Seismic Design of pipework within structures.
*Understanding of Pipe support Design using "Licad (Lisega) or "Witch Package"
*Understanding of materials (SA, ASTM, BSEN, BS, DIN) for varying fluids and varying temperatures
*Knowledge of piping components/flanges/fittings/valves
*Knowledge of inspection and examination to design codes
