QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Mechanical Engineering Degree or Equiv.
You will have significant relevant experience with Insulation, refractory, corrosion protection and expansion joint applications within a boiler or process industry environment including: Practical experience of on site installation, Project engineering responsibilities / experience, Involvement in the monitoring and control of sub-suppliers activities, Involvement in plant erection, commissioning and operation, Participation in Client negotiation and project execution meetings.
KEY COMPETENCIES
You will have knowledge and comprehensive understanding of thermal/acoustic insulation systems, refractory and corrosion protection systems appropriate to large power generating plant installations.
Experienced with insulation and refractory design methods to insulation and refractory codes of practice and standards. You will perform thermal insulation and refractory design calculations including thermal insulation data sheets for boiler surfaces, plant items and draught plant. You will have strong knowledge of available insulation and refractory materials in the global market as well as of acoustic insulation attenuation materials and their application.
KEY DUTIES
Preparation of detailed descriptions, specifications and data sheets, to meet agreed client requirements, detail design calculations along with provision of specialist assistance to Project functions throughout pre and post contract periods.
Selection of insulation, refractory, expansion joint and corrosion protection materials
Issue of Basic Technical Specification and requisitions for procurement
