Due to significant project wins, they are currently recruiting for a Boiler Mechanical Design Engineer. : QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE : *Ideally, B.Eng Mechanical Engineering and Chartered status : *Significant experience in Front End Design of Power Plant and utility boilers : ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : You will be a Mechanical engineer with hands on experience in the design of hot structures associated with large utility power boilers. This will include experience in the design of: : · boiler sling components : · suspension deck components : · Framing/buckstays components : · Calculating boiler movements : · Flues & Ducts : You will have experience of material selection and suitable structural codes to meet the stringent conditions for these components. : Knowledge & experience of boiler pressure part design to ASME standards would be a distinct advantage. : Working within a team of 4-5, you will report to the Project Engineer and Technical Authority. Reading and Checking Drawings, liaising with Draughtsperson, checking calculations and collating technical information on a central spreadsheet to highlight any issues to the Project Engineer : Full details on request
