Our client is a world leading multi-specialist energy services provider, offering energy and environmental solutions to clients globally. Through their research and development they are ensuring that energy is produced more cleanly and efficiently than ever before. They are currently recruiting for a Combustion Engineer (Senior/Principal).
The ideal candidate will have knowledge & experience in the following areas:
+ Major principles of combustion and low NOx combustion modification technologies
+ Hands on calculation of NOx formation in large Utility Power boilers
+ Boiler furnace design principles
+ Design of Wall, Corner & downshot firing arrangements
+ Understanding of fuel-related boiler design impact
+ Calculation and determination of risk assessment and guarantee statement for combustion system on utility power boilers
+ Design of combustion equipment including
- Large Low NOx coal burners
- Application of coal/oil & gas design codes including NFPA
- Development of new burner equipment including specification of combustion test rig data requirements and analysis of data.
- Fuel supply system design for coal, oil & gas
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English
Essentially candidates will need:
+ Degree qualification in Engineering
+ Chartered status would be advantageous
+ Significant experience of front-end design of steam-raising power plants
