Lipten Company is an EPC contractor in the boiler/plant utilities industry. We seek an experienced controls engineer / technician with PLC, HMI and SCADA programming experience. This person will be responsible for designing and programming controls systems for boilers and ancillary equipment involving PLC’s (programmable logic controllers). Must have proven experience in PLC logic development and programming expertise with primarily Allen Bradley PLC product lines (Modicon, Siemens AutomationDirect, EZAutomation, etc. also desirable). PLC skills must include ladder logic, function block and structured text formats. Must also have experience with developing and programming graphic HMI operator terminals and SCADA systems such as RS-View, Cimplicity, Intellution, etc. Must be able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in programming leadership as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion. This person will be the project technical lead and may be responsible for some project management activities. Travel is required to assist in system debug and startup. A BS or other technical degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is desired. A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position is required. Experience in Automotive, Power Generation, or Water/Wastewater industries is a plus as is experience with AutoCad or similar.
