Just had my oil company in for annual service & cleaning. It is a 25 yr old Weil-McLean steam boiler. The tech who I know from outside told me the efficiency is at 75%,1 quart of every gallon goes right up the chimney. He said one reason is that the pins, that distribute even firing, are burnt off.
I plan to stay in this house..I asked if he could replace it on the side (cheaper) he recommended Weil-McLean SG04 with R:410 burners.
