I have a 35 year old Hydrotherm natural gas boiler and plan to replace it this year. I would like to replace it with a boiler with at least an 85% efficiency and preferably one with over a 90& efficiency to take advantage of the $1500 Federal tax credit. I would also like a boiler that can be converted to propane easily since our local natural gas supply is limited if we have a period of severe cold.
Any recommendations regarding which boilers to consider and any recommendations regarding which boilers to avoid, if any, would be greatly appreciated.
