what makes a qualified steam boiler contractor

Hello,

My perception is that more than not some hvac contractors might not be familiar with installing steam boilers.

I have an existing one pipe steam system and want to get a new steam boiler. What qualifications should a contractor have? Should they be NATE, ACCA, ASHRAE certified or......what credentials demonstrate they have the knowledge and experience? Hope I am asking my question in the right way.
