Natural gas is at $1.50 per 100,000 btu
Oil is $3 per 100,000 btu.
As you have insulated the entire house, the heat loss of the house is now about $50,000 btuh, so if you get the boiler that will serve the steam system at 135,000 btuh, it will short cycle. You can't get a smaller boiler because it can't fill the existing steam system.
Promoting antique steam residential systems was a clever way to make big sales and commissions; but they are becoming unaffordable fast.
It is best to replace the steam system now, while prices remain low for equipment, with a hot water system where every room is zoned.
