: I just read on the taco site that the cold water static pressure should equal the expansion tank pressure. That dont seem to make sense.
: It is their opinion. It is mine that having a bit of water forced into the expansion tank during a cold fill gives the system a small reserve of water when the air leaves through a vent, as will happen as the water warms and some 'pockets' of air move to the vent. I assume the hand valve to the PRV will be closed as manufacturers recommend.
: I'm second-guessing the site manager; but he might be allowing the PRV to be open at all times to make up the difference against the instructions of some PRV manufacturer's instructions.
Iam sticking with heatpro, your the one with the hands on, and seem to have done it all. It also sounds more senseable to have less pressure in the expansion tank than the cold water fill pressure. Thanks as always.
