Hello,
I have a 1980’s Burnham steam boiler. It appears that the internal insulation on the front swing door has either disintegrated or was removed, which ever it is, when the boiler fires large amount of heat radiates from the cast iron front plate into the basement. It would seem that this is wasting allot of heat/energy by heating the basement and not the water it’s self. Is there any way to fix this? Is their a jacket or insulation I can use to place over the front of the boiler to contain the heat?
Suggestions?
