I just had an annual plumbing inspection where I was told that the backflow valve from my Wiel-Mclain Gold GV boiler was too old and was probably dumping toxic water into my drinking water. I agree that it's old (a tag says to replace in 1999-from WSSC, the local water company)We've only had the house for three years, yet no one else has pointed this out to me. Question is- is this water really toxic? Should I rush out and buy bottled water for my little boys?
