proper Aquastat for new yorker FRG?

I have a Hydronic base board system with a New Yorker model FR-HGS Boiler (no hot water coil attached) with a beckett Afg burner and one taco circulator pump. what is the best Aquastat to use for this setup? originally it had a honeywell L8124A,C horizontal mount.I was told that this Aquastat is not needed because I don't have a hot water heater coil connected to the system. any Suggestions?
