Why is it necessary to use AL294-c for the air intake on a burnham revolution boiler? I need about a 24' run each for intake and vent. At $20+ a linear foot this stuff is expensive. I would prefer taking air from outside but at $480 for the intake piping alone I might just take air from in the house. Is this really necessary or can I switch the intake to PVC outside of the boiler.
Don't worry I am not doing the install I am just pricing different options and at over $1000 for exhaust and intake pipe the revolution boiler is starting to not look like an option.
