I have had a problem with heating distribution in my house (1 pipe steam) and changed those fancy Hoffman air vents to more expensive variable vents to eventually a simple and cheap type of adjustable air vent called "supervent" that operated so simply: turn a band of different sized holes until you find the one that works for you.
In my case, you didn't get what you pay for.
I am now switching over to hydronic system and need to purchase air vents for my radiators. I found these simple type ones at http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com/(5wlkttefnyvs2o55ldzk0p55)/ProductDetails.aspx?SKU=4065934
these are little automatic air vents that can be installed on the vertical or horizontal position. Are these as good as the fancy ones? Does any have experience with these little things?
