Thanks for responding. I am a bit wary that Buderus may be more costly to repair. Actually, the Buderus contractor usually installs Weil-McLain, but he proposed Buderus in this case because it can be vented through the wall without a power vent (remember no chimney here). The Weil-McLain contractor adds a stainless steel chimney (which adds $2k to the bottom line). The Buderus contractor says the through the wall venting is fine, and we can always add a chimney later if we don't like it.
