I have had a trianco heatmaker II installed in my house for almost 9 years. My problem is the domestic hot is almost non-exist when the bath tub is filled. I get water at 130 degrees for about 15 seconds and it goes cold. When the shower is on the hot water is fine. My guess is when the hot water is on thru the bath tub faucet the boiler cannot keep up with the volume. The heat in the base board is fine but what worries me is this problem of no hot water problem has been around about a year now. I have has two different plumbers out one of them a authorized trianco plumber replaced the stem on the bath tub, replaced a thermo switch and said they don't knwo why the temp falls off. There recommendation is to replace the entire boiler ($5000) is there anyone out there who knows what I can do without replacing the entire unit ?
