I have a Teledyne Laars H-Series Mark II Model No. HW-M2-100N (purchased around 2000) that is used not only for hot water but also to heat my condo.
Within 5 years I've had to have the 'pressure value' replaced 3 times (water temp drops and heater won't kick in to warm the water again). I've been told that calcium build up within the very small opening(s) of the pressure value is the problem.
Can anyone confirm that this is "reasonable" and if so, is there a more long term solution than value replacement?
thanks in advance for your advice,
brad
