As steam will go up 2/3rd of a mile at 1psig, ounces is all you need. REsidential steam systems were designed for 1 psig, so the lowest you can set it so it operates and goes on and off dependably is the number. Steam radiator vents go bad over 3 psig, so keeping it low is a benefit.
