It depends on your yearly fuel bill. If the fuel bill is $1000, then a 15% savings can give you $150 to pay toward the $1000 extra cost. In 7 years you can break even for the extra cost and then pay $150 less a year, and as fuel goes up in cost you get better payback (if the boiler lasts without paying $150 a year in service calls.)
